{"id":2514,"date":"2017-04-10T10:21:06","date_gmt":"2017-04-10T09:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zavod-parasite.si\/eng\/?p=2514"},"modified":"2017-04-19T15:48:54","modified_gmt":"2017-04-19T14:48:54","slug":"the-jury-has-chosen-the-nominees-for-the-oho-young-visual-artist-award-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiv.zavod-parasite.si\/eng\/archives\/2514","title":{"rendered":"The Jury Has Chosen the Nominees for the OHO Young Visual Artist Award 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><br \/>\nWe are pleased to announce that the jury for the <strong>OHO Young Visual Artist Award 2017 <\/strong>\u2013 consisting of Barnab\u00e1s Bencsik (curator, Agency for Contemporary Art Exchange, Budapest), Barbara Sterle Vurnik (curator, Lo\u0161ki muzej, \u0160kofja Loka), Janka Vukmir (art critic, curator, Institute for Contemporary Art, Zagreb) and Igor \u0160panjol (curator, Moderna galerija Ljubljana) \u2013 has at their first meeting chosen this year\u2019s four nominees from the submitted proposals.<\/p>\n<p>The nominees are <strong>Simon Hudolin Sal\u010di (SBD), Anja Jelov\u0161ek, Gregor Rozman, Nina Slejko Blom.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twenty-seven submissions were received for this year\u2019s contest.<br \/>\nNow in its eleventh year, the <strong>OHO Young Visual Artist Award<\/strong> is presented by the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute in collaboration with The Residency Unlimited and Trust for Mutual Understanding, both based in New York. The <strong>OHO Young Visual Artist Award<\/strong> is part of the international network YVAA (Young Visual Artist Award) that connects related national awards in ten European countries.<\/p>\n<p>The nominees have to prepare a new work or present a work that has not yet been exhibited. The works will be presented at the UGM Studio Maribor in May 2017.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2837\" src=\"http:\/\/arhiv.zavod-parasite.si\/slo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ugm.png\" alt=\"UGM\" width=\"70\" height=\"22\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>The programme of the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E.
