{"id":2675,"date":"2017-10-19T15:58:58","date_gmt":"2017-10-19T14:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zavod-parasite.si\/eng\/?p=2675"},"modified":"2017-10-19T15:58:58","modified_gmt":"2017-10-19T14:58:58","slug":"from-ljubljana-to-brazil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiv.zavod-parasite.si\/eng\/archives\/2675","title":{"rendered":"From Ljubljana to Brazil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tadej Poga\u010dar heads to the 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0S\u00e3o Paulo International Architecture Biennial with\u00a0<i>Street Economy Archive<\/i><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Visual and intermedia artist Tadej Poga\u010dar will also be participating in the 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0 S\u00e3o Paulo International Architecture Biennial, running from 18 October to the end of December 2017, with the project<i>\u00a0Street Economy Archive (2001\u2013today)<\/i>. Marti Peran, curator, critic, lecturer and author of the resounding international exhibition\u00a0<i>Post-it-City<\/i>\u00a0dealing with models of temporary architecture \u2013 which toured year ago to the Centre de Cultura Contempor\u00e0nia de Barcelona (CCCB) \u2013 selected five projects for the biennial, among them also\u00a0<i>Street Economy Archive<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3610\" src=\"http:\/\/arhiv.zavod-parasite.si\/slo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Arhiv-ulicne-ekonomije-TiranaTP.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 80%;\">Tadej Poga\u010dar, <em>Street Economy Archive \u2013 Tirana<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Street Economy Archive\u00a0<\/em>was conceived in 2001 as a visual archive in process. It investigates the influences of the parallel economy on societal, cultural and political relations in the every day urban environment. The archive includes examples of street shops from cities such as Venice, Istanbul, Bangkok, Mexico City, Rio de Janerio, S\u00e3o Paulo, Tirana, Warsaw, Madrid, Skopje. Because street vending is the most obvious form of informal economy it is constantly controlled and limited. The different environments have created uncountable variations of street selling, which are marked by the micro local specifics and traditions. It has survived only because of the mobility, flexible nature and improvisational skills of its actors.\u00a0<em>Street Economy Archive<\/em>\u00a0does not bring a collection of models of street economy or a panoramic overview of this problem \u2013 at the forefront it offers a subjective documentation of parallel worlds of economy, which, despite the number of obstacles, operates successfully and represents a means of survival for a number of groups and communities.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years,\u00a0<em>Street Economy Archive\u00a0<\/em>was included in the research publication\u00a0<em>Informal Market Worlds.
